Pauline Marie Meyer Pauline Marie Meyer, 88, of Topeka passed away early Tuesday morning, March 18, 2014 in Lexington Nursing Home Hospice Care. She was born on November 29, 1925 in Dallas, Texas the daughter of Russell and Mildred Wiseman Wassweiler. She attended several grade schools in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School in 1944. Polly was a homemaker and enjoyed doing estate sales. She started bowling in 1942 and was inducted into the Topeka Women s Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1997 joining her mother, Mildred Kerr, who was inducted in 1985 making them the only mother-daughter duo in the Hall. She served as league secretary for many decades and went to the state tournament more than 50 times. Polly received the Grand Dutchess award in 1996. Polly was married to Fred Kemper on September 6, 1945. He died in an auto accident in 1954. Polly met and married Bernard Meyer, whom she spent the next 51 years with. He died March 19, 2008. She is survived by her daughter, Angie Selk of Berryton; grandchildren Taylor and Derek of Berryton; son, George Kemper of Panama City, Panama. Polly was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Beulah Chapter #34 of the Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, and an active member in Topeka Women s bowling. Funeral services will be held in the Mt. Hope Chapel 10:30am Monday, March 24, 2014. She will lie in state at Davidson Funeral Home from 1-6 on the Sunday preceding.
