Wanda Claire Kisner Wanda Kisner, 74, of Topeka passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Lansing Kansas. Wanda was born on September 16, 1939 in Auburn NE, the daughter of Glenn and Anna Mae (Ramey) Walker. The family soon moved to Oskaloosa KS, where Wanda graduated from Oskaloosa high school. Wanda was married to LeRoy Kisner on January 16, 1960 at St. Theresa's Church in Perry KS. He preceded her in death. Wanda received a certificate from Clark's Business School in Topeka. She went to work for Capitol Federal Savings Bank and later focused on raising her family. Wanda loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Wanda was famous for her fried chicken, cowboy cookies, making too much candy at Christmas, and loved to sew. Wanda is survived by her children Anthony Kisner (Carolyn), Lawrence KS and Roxie Forge (Tim) Leavenworth KS; grandchildren Katharine Kisner, Anne Kisner, Nicholas Milner, step grandchildren Derrick Forge and Courtney Connel; Step-great granddaughter Ava Forge; Brother, Ramey Walker; Sister, Shirley Rose; and special friend Floyd Doc Smith. She is preceded her parents, a sister Glenda Goins; and a brother LeMoyne Walker. Visitation for Wanda will be Wednesday night from 6:00 -8:00p.m. at the Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Funeral services for Wanda will be held on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home with burial to follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
