William Francis Griffin III William F. (Bill) Griffin III, 59, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 at Liberty Hospital. Visitation will be 3 to 7 PM Thursday, July 17 with the Rosary at 6:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home, 340 N. 6th St., KC, KS. On Friday, July 18, from 3 to 4:30 PM a visitation will be held at Carey Funeral Home, 503 South Topeka Ave., Burlingame, KS 66413, with a Graveside Service to follow at Burlingame Cemetery at 5 PM. Bill was born October 2, 1954 to William F. and Edna L. (Crouch) Griffin Jr. in Topeka, KS. He was employed for over 37 years for the US Postal Service, retiring in 2013. There he met his beloved girlfriend, Bernadette Gard, whom he shared 10 years of happiness and joy. He was a gentle man and a fun loving Harley Davidson Enthusiast who loved his country music. Preceding him in death were his brother, David and his father. He is survived by his mother, Edna Griffin; girlfriend, Bernadette; sons, Christopher (Mindy), William F.IV (Rachel), and Derrick Griffin; four grandchildren: Gunnar, Taylor, Madison and Anderson; sisters: Connie (Mark) Nordgren, Nancy Watts, Cheron (Steve) Russell, and Karen Yates; brothers: Paul, Jack (Leah), and Aaron (Joyce) Hale; numerous nieces and nephews.
