Mary Snyder Mary Alice Baker Snyder, 91, passed away July 27, 2014. She was born in Atchison KS. She was an active member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, the Women's Club, Eucharistic Adoration, Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women, and the Serra Club. She worked as a telephone operator for the telephone company, Topeka Parks and Recreation at several recreation centers, and the Kansas State Department of Revenue. She was a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital for over 25 years. Mary is survived by daughter, Teresa Schiffelbein; son, Martin Snyder; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Al, Frank and Deacon Richard Baker; sisters, Helen Wright and Collette Mayse. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Stover; husband, Warren Snyder; brothers, Jerry, Martin, Ray, Maurice and Tom Baker; sisters, Charlotte Chase and Kathleen Freund. A rosary and wake service will be at 6 p.m. with visitation following until 8 p.m. Thursday at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1750 SW Stone Ave, Topeka, KS 66604. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Garden.
