Floyd Lewis Anderson Jr., 84, of Great Bend died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Central Kansas Medical Center. He was born May 19, 1923, in Concordia, Kan., the son of Floyd Lewis and Mary (Burch) Anderson. He was retired from Dowell. He was a member of Masons of Great Bend Lodge #15 for 49 years, Order of Eastern Star #134 and the First United Methodist Church of Great Bend. He was a veteran of World War II. He married Darlene Stalder on July 21, 1942. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Floyd Lewis Anderson III and his wife, Joy, of Powder Springs, Ga.; three daughters, Karen Felzien and her husband, Paul, of Topeka; Judy Anderson of the home; and Sheryl Burhenn and her husband, Russell, of Topeka; four brothers, James Anderson and his wife, Norma, of Russell, Kan., Roy Anderson and wife Kay and Elton Anderson and wife Rosie, all of Concordia, Kan, and Robert Anderson and wife Bobbie of Blooming Grove, Texas; two sisters Frances Hall and her husband, Bill, of Wichita, Kan and Virginia Moss and husband Jack of Glasco, Kan.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles Richard Anderson and three sisters, Barbara Jean Anderson, Florence Bascart and Dorothy Betzner; and a granddaughter, Jessica Burhenn. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, at Charter Funerals Chapel, 2115 Washington Great Bend, KS 67530, with the Rev. Gary Brooks officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Barton County. Memorials may be made to the Sunflower Early Education Center in care of the Charter Funeral. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Charter Funerals
