Billie R. Bill Roach, 70, of Meriden, died Monday, February 23, 2009 at his home in Meriden. He was born September 23, 1938 at McClain, Oklahoma the son of Robert Ezra and Alva Fay Miller Roach. He had lived in Meriden since 1972. Bill worked as a Machinist for the Rock Island Railroad 24 years before his retirement, working from Apprentice to Machinist Journeyman. He worked as a Cook at the V.F.W. Post #10815 in Meriden for many years. He as a 1956 graduate of Argentine High School in Kansas City, KS., and was a member of the Jefferson Assembly of God Church in Meriden. Bill was married twice in his life and was the father of five daughters. He is survived by four Daughters, Kim (Jimbo) Kimmons, Kansas City, KS., Shannon (Gary) Ricley, Meriden, Dawn (Keith) Kennedy, Valley Falls, Rochelle (Eric) Rickner, Topeka, one Brother, Roy Wayne Roach, Burlington, KS., three Sisters, Sharon Angel, Kansas City, KS., Peggy Harris, Kansas City, KS., Etha Campainha, Melbourne, FL., 11 Grandchildren, Laramie Stilley, Devin Stilley, Bo Kimmons, Billy Kimmons, Ryan Cook, Brianna Cook, Travis Cook, Tyler Cook, Shelli Brown, Natasha Rodecap, Baylee Rickner, three Great-Grandchildren, Elijah Burger, James A. Kimmons, and Brenden Stilley. Bill was preceded in death by a Daughter, Rhonda Stilley and four Brothers, Donnie, Frank, Gary and John Roach. Funeral Services will be at 5:00 PM, Friday at Jefferson Assembly of God Church, Meriden. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, Friday, one hour prior to services at the Church.
