Linnea Elizabeth Domnanish, 89, passed away on June 5, 2011. She was born on June 11, 1921 in Kansas City KS the daughter of Swedish immigrant parents, August Emil Falstrom and Amelia Caroline (Anderson) Falstrom. She was a homemaker and avid collector of dolls and toys. She worked for the Shawnee County Election Board for many years and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Parish. On January 15, 1949 she married Edward Stephen Domnanish in Kansas City, KS. The early years of their marriage were spent in Paola, Kansas. The family moved to Topeka in 1963. Linnea and Edward were married for 55 years before Edward passed away on October 22, 2004. Linnea is survived by twin sons, Stephen (Barb) Domnanish and Stan (Pat) Domnanish Topeka; and two daughters Joan (Chris) Tucker, Topeka, and Sharon (Dale) Schlagel, Frisco TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Amy (Troy) Ewing, Brett (Michelle) Rettig, Megan Domnanish, Shelly Crossley, Katie Domnanish, and Drew, Courtney, and Ryan Schlagel and four great-grandchildren, Braden Ewing, Josey Crossley, and Blake and Gabrielle Rettig. Mrs. Domnanish will lie in state Thurs. 5-7 p.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Fri at St. Joseph Catholic Church 227 SW Van Buren. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission in lieu of flowers sent in care of the funeral home.
