Dear Dennis & Barb---I quite often read the Topeka news online and I cannot tell you how shocked I was to learn of Brenna's death this week. I couldn't hold back the tears while trying to make any sense of such a tragedy. Sometimes it's difficult to imagine how others feel and this was one of those times. I simply pray that our Father in heaven can console you and bring you comfort and peace because I believe that human words are not capable of doing so. Only the closeness of God can bring you the needed spiritual rest you need to find in this awful time of grief. But He can do it and I know you will seek Him. I knew Brenna from school. I was in the school musical, Curtains, with her. I have many great memories from that time. It's amazing how many people's lives were touched by Brenna. She knew how to bring people together in life and especially in death. She was an outstanding person and knew how to live each day to the fullest. She poured her heart into everything she did. She was such a beautiful person. I know she is home now, even of it wasn't the home I wished she was at.

Though I did not know Brenna, my thoughts and prayers are with your family. My daughter worked with Brenna last summer and was looking forward to working with her again this summer ... she was quite an inspiration and positive role model for anyone lucky enough to have known her. My daughter shared that Brenna had 'laugh attacks' frequently - what a sweet girl. Find comfort that she's with God in Heaven.

I did not know your beautiful daughter but I have four- grandaughters that attends or attended SHS.We were at the State playoffs Friday when we heard of your tragic loss. My girls and their teammates came together after their game and prayed for your daughter and your family. I'm so sorry that I'm having to post on Brenna's obituary. This was to be the beginning of a new chapter in her life, not the end of her life. I know your faith is strong and that we know Brenna is with her Savior. She touched so many people in her short 18 years. Jaimie so enjoyed getting to know her on swim team and also being in the musicals together. As a mother, my heart aches for your loss, but as a Christian I know that Brenna is smiling down with that infectious smile of hers telling us not to grieve. Many lives will change for the better because of having known or known of Brenna. She was ans is such a blessing!

To the Morgart Family,
Though I did not have the wonderful opportunity to teach Brenna, I had the pleasure of seeing her as she graced the halls of SHS. She truly did have a smile on her face each time I saw her. It was very evident that God shined in her life and that light touched others who called her their friend. Prayers for you and your entire family and extended Seaman community affected by her life. God be with us all even to the end of time and may Jesus hold us in the palm of His hand as we grieve the loss of such an amazing young lady.
