Francis Keith Tucker Francis Keith Tucker, 73, Burlingame, Kansas, went home to his heavenly father on May 2, 2013, at his home. He was born June 12, 1939, at home in the Prairie Center Community to Maudie (Moore) Tucker and Homer Tucker. He lived in the Prairie Center Community all his life. Keith graduated from Burlingame High School in 1957, and then attended Kansas State University, and graduated from Clark's Business School in 1959. He worked in the Purchase and Materials Department for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, retiring after 42 years of service. Keith married Vita (Aaron) Starkebaum, on March 20, 1993. They moved to the family farm where Keith grew up. He was a 60-year member of the Fairplain Grange where he served as Master for 23 years. He was a member of the Burlingame Federated Church, served on the Burlingame Township board for several years and was on the Burlingame Cemetery Board for 20 years. He also was a member and volunteer for the Burlingame Historical Preservation Society. He loved to go fishing with family and friends in Canada over the last 25 years. He was an avid K-State fan for 63 years, and attended many basketball and football games and Bowl games. He liked to garden, play cards, take care of his cats and dog, and be with family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maudie and father Homer. He is survived by his wife Vita, of the home. A brother Gerald and wife Shirley, Stockton, MO; children Mike (Beth) Starkebaum, Topeka, KS, Lea (Troy) Winchester, Springer, OK, Aaron (Tracie) Starkebaum, Pinehurst, TX; grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan and Adam Starkebaum, Lacie and Colton Winchester; a nephew, Rodney (Amber) Tucker, Bolivar, MO; a niece Donna Talbert, Stockton, MO; two great-nieces, Amber (Dustin) Hardy, Hallie Tucker, a great-nephew, Hayden Tucker, and a great-great-niece Kynslee Hardy, cousins and many friends. A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at the Burlingame Federated Church, Burlingame, Kansas. Interment will follow in Prairie Center Cemetery, north of Burlingame. Family visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
