I was just thinking about Mrs. Brier and looked her up on the internet and discovered the recent news. She was my 5th grade teacher at West Avondale in Topeka in 1975 and helped me to realize my potential at an early age. She was one of the great educators that have topped my list. My thoughts and love go to the family. She was a special one.

We had lots of fabulous teachers at Berryton Grade School. Mrs. Brier taught 8th grade English in 1968. Sometimes she would have me go to the blackboard to help her teach certain things! She was great! I remember the little half glasses she use to wear and thought they looked so special on her.
