Robert F. Lively Robert F. Lively, 80, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at a Topeka care facility. He was born December 25, 1932 in Greenfield, MA, the son of Francis E. and Edna G. Bezio Lively. Robert was an Army veteran of the Korean War and an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He had resided in the Berryton and Topeka communities since 1976. He was employed by the Topeka Metropolitan Airport Authority and was later employed by Sewell Oil Company for several years. He was a member of Philip Billard Post No. 1650, V.F.W. Robert married Helen C. Yeager on January 2, 1962 in New Bedford, MA. She preceded him in death on March 16, 2006. Survivors include one daughter, Robin Beatty and her husband, Russ of Emporia, one son, Michael Lively and his wife, Pam of Topeka, three step-sons, Greg Pierson and his wife, Dee of TX, Larry Pierson and his wife, Carol of N. Aurora, IL, Richard Bud Pierson and his wife, Shelby of Trempealeau, WI, 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Robert will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
