Ruth McNabb Obituary

Ruth Edna (DeWeese) McNabb TOPEKA Ruth Edna (DeWeese) McNabb, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014 in Topeka. She was born on October 21, 1924 at Paola, Kansas, the daughter of Earl and Edith (Mickelson) DeWeese. Ruth was united in marriage to Charles E. McNabb on September 11, 1944 at Portsmouth, Virginia. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1992. God blessed their marriage with three daughters, six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Shannon DeWeese. Ruth is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Donna and David Conner of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Vicki and Gaylord Gillette of McPherson, KS and Debbie and Robert Durall of Meriden, KS. Although Ruth will be missed by her family and friends now, their memory of her will be for eternity. A private graveside service will be held at Melvern Cemetery in Melvern, KS. Memorial contributions can be made to Grace Hospice and sent in care of Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home, P.O. Box 43, Lebo, Kansas 66856.
