Floyd Wells

Floyd E. Wells Floyd E. Wells, 80, of Topeka, went to heaven October 15, 2016 surrounded by his family. Floyd was born in Ponca City, OK on July 18, 1936 to Barton Curtis and Hyacinth (Marcella) Wells. He had four older siblings, Hattie Lee Bussey, Curtis Edgar, Barton Clyde and John Laverne. Johnny is the only one still living and he and Floyd loved to talk on the phone for hours. Floyd married Betty Ann Wells on May 7, 1956 and was a loving, faithful husband for over 60 years. He was in the Army 101st Airborne, and came home on leave determined to get married and take Betty back to Ft. Campbell, KY with him, which he did. He was so proud of his children; Michael (Candi) Wells, Shelly (Jimmy) Hook, Dona Hook and Don (Alice) Wells and his 16 wonderful Grands ; Michelle (Jason) Root, Donnie (Edna) Wells, Jessie (Skee) Pickrell, Josh Wells, Sammy Hook, Stacey Hook, Chad (Skylar) Watson, Brad (Courtney) Wells, Key-Cee Wells, Todd Watson, Ryan Wells and his 12 Greats who brought so much joy to his life; Jordon and Carson, Ezekiel and Clarence, Lilly and Abby Archie, Parker and Ryan, Clayton, Gavin and Jaxson. Floyd loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed square dancing, boating, his Harley, the OU Sooners and his Grands and Greats . A celebration of his life will be Saturday, October 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Town and Country Christian Church in Topeka.
