Gregory Ralph Eilert, 45, Topeka, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006. Greg was born Jan. 26, 1961 in Topeka, the son of Ralph and Marjorie Arens Eilert. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1979. Greg was an accomplished woodworker and had been an athlete who always enjoyed sports of all kinds. Greg is survived by his parents; his siblings, Joyce Eilert-Jones, and her husband, Brian, Axtell, Nancy Way, Topeka, Tony Eilert, and his wife, Tammy, Topeka, Dennis Eilert, and his wife, Ginele, Puyallup WA, and Andy Eilert, and his wife, Stephanie, Overland Park; nine nieces and nephews. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd, Topeka KS 66614, where a rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tues. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, to assist in treating mental health, are suggested to Valeo Behavioral Health Care, sent in care of the funeral home.
