Dean Floyd Clintsman, age 72, passed away Fri. July 27, 2007, at a Dallas hospital with his children by his side of complications from a stroke. He was born Nov. 26, 1934 in Hardy, NE to Floyd and Laura Clintsman. He lived most of his childhood in Downs, KS graduating there in 1954. He served in the Air Force 1954-1958, much of the time on Guam. He married Lou Ann Rypma in 1955. He was an insurance adjuster in Salina, Liberal, Junction City, and Topeka, past president of the Topeka Claims Association and spent 15 years working disaster areas in Florida, Texas, and Hawaii. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Joseph, Olathe, KS, son, Bryan Clintsman, Southlake, TX, grandchildren, Jennifer and Courtney Clintsman, Southlake, and Leah Joseph, Olathe, sister Barbara Thompson-Brokaw, Glen Elder, KS, nieces and nephews. His former wife Lou Ann Clintsman Thoms lives in Topeka. Memorial services were held at the Vista Ridge Methodist Church of Lewisville, TX. Internment of his ashes will be later in Downs, KS.
