Bloyd Edwards, 93, of Greensburg, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015. He was the son of the late Alonza and Eva Johnson Edwards. He was married to Ellie Mae Atkinson Edwards. She survives. Survivors also include a daughter, Debra Miller. Funeral was Saturday, Feb. 28, at Bethel AME Church in Campbellsville. The Rev. Paul Thompson officiated. Interment was in the Atkinson Family Cemetery.

Goodman, Dennis - CAMPBELLSVILLE  
Dennis Goodman, 78, of Campbellsville, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. Born Jan. 21, 1937, in Jefferson County, Ky., he was the son of the late Lonnie Dennis Goodman and Violet Deeming Goodman. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a retired employee of Brown–Williamson Tobacco Company. He was married to Grace Colvin on March 18, 1983. She survives. Survivors include a daughter, Janet Lee Thompson and her husband, Mark, of Louisville; a son, Michael Dennis Goodman and companion, Debbie McCary, of West Plains, Mo.; a granddaughter, Samantha Hawkins; a great-grandson, Dereck Hawkins; two sisters and four brothers, Pauline Goodman, Etta Rae Goodman, Lonnie Goodman, Butch Goodman, Gary Goodman and Glen Goodman, all of Louisville. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn, Dorothy and Corrine. Funeral was Tuesday, March 3, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Al Hardy and Mitch Ash officiated. Burial followed in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Heck, Edward Joseph  
Edward Joseph Heck, 84, of Greensburg, Ky., died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015. He was the son of the late Edward Joseph Heck, Sr., and Louise Stucy Heck. He was married to Marion Louise Johnson Heck. She survives. Survivors also include his children, Edward Joseph Heck III of Maryland, James Robert Heck of Florida, Theresa Bidenbach, M.D., and Paul Joseph Heck, both of Texas; and a step-daughter, Debra Richardson of Florida. The family chose cremation and there were no formal services or visitation. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg was in charge of the arrangements.

Meadows, William Edward  
William Edward Meadows, 81, of Greensburg, Ky., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015. He was the son of the late Henry Meadows and Essie Wilson Meadows. He was married to Ann Lavern Judd Meadows. She survives. Survivors also include three sons, Tony Meadows, Dale Meadows and Tim Meadows, all of Greensburg. Funeral was Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Bros. Timmy Glass and Irvin Milby Jr. officiated.

Noe Jr., James Lawrence - CAMPBELLSVILLE  
James Lawrence Noe Jr., 69, of Campbellsville, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2015. Born Feb. 9, 1946, in Marion County, Ky., he was the son of the late James L. Noe Sr. and Louise M. Bass Noe. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church for forty years, where he served as Deacon and Adult Department Director in Sunday School. He also served on the Finance Committee, Long Range Planning, Chairman of the Building Committee of the Family Life Center and remodeling of the Education Building. He has been a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church since March 2008. He served his country honorably for six years with the Kentucky National Guard Company B, 1st Battalion 623rd Field Artillery. He was a partner and later owner of Noe & Ratcliffe Hardware Store for 29 years. Beginning in 1998, he became general manager of Cox Shavings, Inc., in Campbellsville. He also farmed for his entire life, raising beef cattle and horses. His hobby was trail riding, camping and boating with his friends. An active member of our community, he served on the board of Campbellsville-Taylor County Rescue and was a member of the board of trustees at Campbellsville University. He was a member of Elk Horn Masonic Lodge No. 568 F & AM and a 32nd-degree Shriner. He was married to Cary Colvin on Aug. 15, 2009. She survives. Survivors also include two daughters, Gail McQueary and her husband, Paul, and Janna Morris of Campbellsville; a son, James L. "Jamie" Noe III of Fairview, Tenn.; a step-daughter, Bethany Sprowles and her husband, Jeremy, of Campbellsville; five grandchildren, Hunter McQueary, Grant McQueary, Tate Morris, Chase Morris and Elizabeth Morris; a step-granddaughter, Brylee Sprowles; a brother, Larry Noe and his wife, Beverly of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral was Monday, March 2, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Dr. James Jones officiated. Burial followed in Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville. Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to the building fund of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and may be made at the funeral home.

Patterson, James 'Goody'  
James "Goody" Patterson, 74, of Greensburg, Ky., died Monday, March 2, 2015. He was the son of the late Garland and Easer White Patterson. He is survived by a daughter, Tracy Russell, of Center, Ky. Funeral was at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bros. Larry Wisdom and David Patterson officiated. Interment was in Ladies Chapel Cemetery in Green County, Ky.

Shawen, Marie - CAMPBELLSVILLE  
Marie Richerson Shawen, 82, of Campbellsville, died at Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. Born Feb. 19, 1933, in Taylor County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late James Raley Richerson and Lillian Deener Richerson. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Fruit of The Loom and was an Avon representative. She was married to James Shawen on March 2, 1957. He survives. Survivors also include a daughter, Darla Shawen Callahan of Campbellsville; two sons, Greg Shawen of Campbellsville and Gary Shawen and his wife, Kimberly, of Somerset; three grandchildren, Brad Callahan and his wife, Renee, Hannah Shawen and Alexander Shawen; three great-grandchildren, Shelby Callahan, Sydney Callahan and Sadie Callahan; a brother, Robert Earl Richerson and wife Nancy of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, William Richerson, Gladys Richerson O'Banion, Alice Richerson and Deronda Richerson. Funeral was Tuesday, March 3, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Dr. James Jones officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Sublett, Odell  
Odell Sublett, 90, of Campbellsville, died Monday, March 2, 2015. Born May 11, 1924, in Taylor County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Bert and Magdaline Paxton Sublett She had worked for local drugstores and restaurants and was a member of Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a brother, Leonard Sublett of Campbellsville; two sisters, Betty Holt of Indianapolis and Elaine Sublett of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law, Corrine Sublett and Peggy Sublett; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert Henry Sublett; two sisters, Arlene Munday Williams and Gwen Lee Sublett; and a sister-in-law, Martha Lee Sublett. Funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bro. Earl West will officiate. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Rogers, Mike Munday, Eddie Munday, Tim Munday, Adam Sublett, Neil Sublett, Jeff Holt and Steve Cry. The family requests visitation Saturday prior to the funeral from noon to 2 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Good Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery fund and may be made at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Cathie Lea Williams, 65, of Louisville, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Alvin and Christine Hadley Robison. She was married to James M. Williams, who preceded her in death.
