Charles Richard Fawcett, 81, of Campbellsville, died Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, Ky. Son of the late Robert and Rosa Wilson Fawcett, he was born Aug. 16, 1932. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. Several of his miniature homes have been showcased in different Fourth of July parades in Campbellsville. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church. He was married to Margaret Fawcett. She survives. Survivors also include three stepchildren, Janet Pickett and her husband, Roger, Lisa Tucker and her husband, Tony, and Norman Watson and his companion, Fran Bright, all of Campbellsville; three sisters, Hazel Cusma of Ohio, Faye Syler of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Barbara Jean Bault of Campbellsville; five step-grandchildren, Scott Pickett of Louisville, Ky., Stacey Forbis and Chris Cook of Campbellsville, Tiffany Bright of Lebanon, Ky., and Jason Cook of Lexington, Ky.; four step-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Hunt and Melba Thompson; and two brothers, Bobby Fawcett and Earl Fawcett. Funeral was Wednesday, April 16, at L.R. Petty Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Campbellsville. Interment was in Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery. Bettye Faye Gilpin Mann, 76, of California, formerly of Campbellsville, died at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, in Concord, Calif. Daughter of the late Harry Gilpin and Gladys Faye Sullivan Gilpin, she was born in Taylor County on Aug. 1, 1937. She professed faith in Christ and attended Faith Christian Fellowship Church in California and Beech Grove Baptist Church in Campbellsville. She was a retired teller at Wells Fargo Bank. She married Lloyd C. Mann on March 4, 1955. He survives. Survivors also include a son, Steve Mann and wife, Maria, of Concord; a daughter, Tammy Dahlstrom and her husband, Mike, of Fox Island, Wash.; four grandchildren, Shane Mann and Thomas Mann of Concord and Kaysea Dahlstrom and Charlie Dahlstrom of Fox Island; a brother, Bobby Gilpin and his wife, Peggy, of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law, Bettye Sue Gilpin of Campbellsville and Joan Mann of San Clemente, Calif.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jacqueline Mann on July 18, 1998; and a brother, Jimmy Lee Gilpin on Aug. 6, 2006. Funeral was Monday, April 14, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Mark Graham officiated. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Gregory Coleman Milby, 50, of Syracuse, N.Y., died Thursday, April 10, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Son of Dan Milby and Wyona Secrest, he was born in Campbellsville. He was a computer geek, web developer, graphic designer and dog lover. He enjoyed playing guitar and banjo and was a fierce Scrabble opponent. He cared deeply for his family and especially his wife, for whom he would do anything. He was married to Renée Kessler Milby of Syracuse. She survives. Survivors also include his parents, Wyona and Ben Secrest of Fayetteville, N.C., and Dan and Lavonne Milby of Hopkinsville, Ky.; a brother, Bradley Secrest and his partner, Mathew Caylor of Boone, N.C.; a sister, Heidi Plank and her husband, Stan, of Raeford, N.C.; beloved nieces and nephews, Tyler and Aaron Plank, Savannah, Evan, Morgan, Sophia and Jack Kessler and Madison and Aline Jamieson; his four legged girls, Kati, Eleanor and Baby Chloé; his wife's family, Gordon, Janet, Gordon "GJ", Michael and Kimberlie Kessler, Julie Kessler Scroggs and her husband, Danny, and Elizabeth Robinson; and many close friends. Funeral is tomorrow, Friday, April 18, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden, N.C. Pastors Sam Fine and Terry Malone will officiate.
