Richards, Sr., George Edwards 'Eddie'  
George Edward "Eddie" Richards Sr., 68, of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. Born Sept. 2, 1946, in Corydon, Ind., he was the son of the late Charles Calvin and Lida Melson Richards. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. He married Patricia Ann Winkler on March 8, 1969. She survives. Survivors also include three daughters, Lisa Bright and her husband, Bengy, Debbie Coomer and her husband, Troy, and Shanna Richards Judd, all of Campbellsville; a son, George Edward "Junior" Richards Jr. of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren, Crystal Richards, Brittany Sapp, Jared Coomer, Gabby Coomer, Tayler Judd, Kyndell Kearnes and GerogeAnn Kearnes, all of Campbellsville; two great-grandchildren, Briley Sapp and Colton Sapp; three sisters, Joyce Owens and her husband, Max, of Indianapolis, Ind., Diane Smith and her husband, Jerry, of Columbia, Ky., and Connie Lumpkin of Campbellsville; and a brother, Paul Charles Richards of Campbellsville. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Chuck Richards, Carl Richards and Charlie Richards; three sisters, Ruby Gabehart, Mabel Richards and Linda Gail Coffman; a grandson, Brandon Tyler Richards; and a son-in-law, Michael "Scott" Judd. Funeral is today, Thursday, Dec. 18, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bro. Kyle Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Richie Crews, Jared Coomer, Chris Brunelle, Michael Lumpkin, Troy Coomer and Roger Lane.
