Alberta French, 75, of Campbellsville, died at 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Willie Sprowles and Irene Yates Sprowles, she was born March 7, 1937, in Taylor County.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Zion Separate Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She was married to William H. "Buster" French on Jan. 16, 1954. He survives.
Survivors also include a daughter and son-in-law, Annetta and Gary Reynolds of Campbellsville; three grandchildren, Austin Reynolds and his wife, Kaylin, of Campbellsville and Miranda Coffey and her husband, Richard, and Brittany Shuffett and her husband, Evan, of Greensburg, Ky; five great-grandchildren, Gavin Coffey, Carlee Coffey, Brooklyn Shuffett, Kayla Shuffett and Jaida Shuffett, all of Greensburg; two brothers and two sisters, Glevins Sprowles, Coleman Sprowles and Geneva Shofner of Campbellsville and Chrystal Sullivan of Valley Station, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister, Virgil Sprowles in infancy and Lavoy Price.
Funeral was Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bros. Ronda Arnett, Darrin Price and Richard Coffey and Gavin Coffey officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
