Betty Nelson, 70, of Campbellsville, died at 4:02 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, in Louisville, Ky.
Daughter of the late Cleaver Moore and Elizabeth McCarty Moore, she was born March 13, 1944, in Marion County, Ky.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Metzmeier Nursing Home and was also employed at Price's Grocery for several years.
Survivors include two sons, Ollie Jones and Brian Nelson of Campbellsville; a daughter, Patricia Lanham of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Dean, Danielle Jones and Brandon Nelson of Campbellsville and Timmy Jones of Glasgow, Ky.; four great-grandchildren, Allison Dean, Cameron Dean, Allie Jones and Tyler Ray Jones; three brothers, Junior Moore of Campbellsville and Paul Moore and Robert Moore of Lebanon, Ky.; three sisters, Sue Cox of Lebanon and Joyce Porter and Aileen Whitlock of Finley, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Jones on Jan. 31, 2003; and a sister, Tresea Hardin.
Funeral was Wednesday, May 14, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Dr. James Jones officiated.
Burial was in Benningfield Cemetery in Marion County.
