Charles C. Dooley, 65, of Lawrenceburg, Ky., died July 3, 2014, at his home.
Son of Jean Brown Dooley of Lexington, Ky., and the late Vernon Lee Dooley, he was born July 23, 1948, in Taylor County.
He was a 1975 graduate of University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy and retired in 1996 as a pharmacist for Rite Aid in Lexington.
He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church in Versailles, Ky., and served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
His many hobbies included chess, reading and genealogy research.
He was married to Jane Gee Dooley. She survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Meredith N. Dooley of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Chris (Jennifer) Dooley of Rincon, Ga., and David (Jamie) Dooley of Melbourne, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Anna and Ella Dooley; two brothers, Terry (Kathy) Dooley of Campbellsville and Darrell (Tiny) Dooley of Lewisburg, Ky.; six nephews; two nieces; and a brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Gee of Lawrenceburg.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Rowan Faith Dooley.
Funeral was Sunday, July 6, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg.
Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Casket bearers were James Hite, Richard Dooley, Damon Dooley, Jason Dooley, Joel Dooley, Ben Gee and Justin Gee.
