Gracie Wood Obituary

Gracie Wood of Elk Horn, daughter of the late Fletcher Gaddis and Frances Holmes Gaddis, was born Aug. 13, 1925 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:40 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 in Elk Horn at the age of 92.

Gracie united in marriage to Dueard Gabehart, who preceded her in death in 1949.

She later united in marriage to Eugene Wood on Dec. 16, 1966 and he preceded her in death May 13, 1990.

She is survived by three daughters: Dorothy Sheene and husband, Johnny of Danville, Chrystal Gribbins and husband, Jack Arnold of Columbia and Selena Hudson Bagby and husband, Olen of Campbellsville, as well as one step-daughter, three granddaughters, seven great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, one half –brother, one half-sister, and a step-son.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Olen Bagby.

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
