James "Jim" Bauman, 70, of Campbellsville, formerly of Melbourne, Fla., died at 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Wilson Bauman and Helen Wilson Bauman, he was born May 11, 1943, in Salem, Oregon.
Now retired, he graduated as a civil engineer and spent most of his career as a building contractor. For 13 years, Jim worked as administrator for the Tabernacle Church, where he also served as elder and Bible study leader. Before moving to Campbellsville, he attended Calvary Chapel and its Breaking Bread for men as well as going on a number of mission trips. He also enjoyed his time spent as a volunteer at Brevard Zoo and doing Meals on Wheels.
He married Charlene Wenz on Dec. 19, 1964.
Besides his wife, Charlene Bauman, survivors include two daughters, Becky Pinson and her husband, Brian, of Campbellsville, and Debbie Heger and her husband, Scott, of Wesley Chapel, Fla.; a son, James Bauman of Melbourne; six grandchildren; his mother and father-in-law, Lillian Irving and her husband, Harry, of Melbourne; a sister-in-law, Bonnie DiCrocco and her husband, Val, of Melbourne; and four nephews.
