Michael E. "Sleepy" O'Banion, 64, of Campbellsville, died at 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late William Byron O'Banion and Dorothy Hord O'Banion, he was born Aug. 10, 1948 in Taylor County.
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Highways.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebecca P. Chaudoin of Greensburg, Ky.; four grandchildren, Blake Chaudoin, Katie Chaudoin, Faith Wright and Allen Wright; three brothers, William Ray O'Banion and his wife, Shelia, Harold O'Banion and his wife, Nancy, and Donald O'Banion and his wife, Vicky, of Campbellsville; a sister, Diane Estep and her husband, Kenneth, of Elizabethtown, Tenn.; a special friend, Barbara Donahue of Bardstown, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Kay O'Banion in infancy.
Funeral was Tuesday, July 23, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Shaun Caudill officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
