Mitchell Rodgers, 76, of Campbellsville, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Ralph Mitchell Rodgers Sr. and Claudine McCubbin Rodgers, he was born on Dec. 21, 1936, in Taylor County.
He professed faith in Christ and attended Liberty Baptist Church.
He was a retired construction employee. He was a member of Elk Horn Masonic Lodge #568 F&AM for many years.
He married Mildred Baumgardner on Aug. 25, 1956. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Cindy Rodgers and Ricky and Ann Rodgers, all of Campbellsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tony Caldwell of Campbellsville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Jenna and John Schulten, LeAnn and Jordan Eastridge, Nathan Rodgers, Raven and John Norris and Haley Rodgers; three great-grandchildren, Jack Schulten, Olivia Schulten and Finn Eastridge; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Donna Rodgers of Campbellsville and Jimmy and Debbie Rodgers of Leitchfield, Ky.; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorena and Gordon Mann and Margaret Sapp, all of Campbellsville, and Eva and Ham Skaggs of Russell Springs, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Rodgers, on June 4, 1999.
Funeral was Sunday, Feb. 3, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Carlis Compton officiated.
Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
