Nadine Rainwater

Nadine Rainwater, 87, of Campbellsville, died at 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Joseph Oliver Newcomb and Elma "Billie" Ford Newcomb, she was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Taylor County.
She was a retired bookkeeper and secretary, having worked at Fruit of the Loom, Corner Drug Store, Central Kentucky News-Journal, Ingersoll-Rand and South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of South Campbellsville Baptist Church.
She married Robert J. Rainwater. He preceded her in death in February 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Janellen Rainwater of Campbellsville; two sons, Bobby Lewis Rainwater of Campbellsville and Jeff Rainwater and his wife, Sue, of Hardyville, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Joey Rainwater and his wife, Tracy; Adam Rainwater and his wife, Tammy; Julie England and her husband, Adam; Jason Rainwater and Katlin Rainwater of Campbellsville; Aaron Rainwater and his wife, Nicki, of Casey County, Ky.; Charles Payne of Glasgow, Ky.; Alyssa Sue Rainwater and Justin Rainwater of Hardyville and Sabrina Carrier of Louisville, Ky.; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Newcomb and his wife, Barbara, of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Newcomb of Campbellsville and Iva Newcomb of Lebanon, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Linda Helen Rainwater; and two brothers, Bobby Joe Newcomb and Grover Lee Newcomb.
Funeral was Friday, Feb. 28, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Jim Durham officiated.
Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
Family requests expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to Gideon Bibles and they can be made at the funeral home.
