Robert L. "Bob" Wise, 83, of Campbellsville, died at 11:14 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Marvin Thomas Wise and Alma Colvin Wise, he was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Taylor County.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where he was a deacon emeritus.
He was a retired farmer.
He was very active in Democratic politics, was a former Taylor County School Board member and a member of the honorable order of Kentucky Colonels. Bob also was a Mason and member and past master of the Andy Bowen Masonic Lodge #670 F&AM in Spurlington.
He married Nell Mitchell on Dec. 12, 1948.
Besides his wife, Nell Mitchell Wise of Campbellsville, survivors include two sons, Ron Wise of Nashville, Tenn., and Brian Wise and his wife, Connie, of Campbellsville; a daughter, Roberta Cox and her husband, Craig, of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren, Richie Glass and his wife, Jen; Natalie Wise, Mitchell Wise; Angella Watson and her husband, Craig; Nick Wise and his wife, Robyn; Thomas Wise, and Rachel Keeton and her husband, Will; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Wilma McGuire of Campbellsville; special caregiver, Pam Colvin of Campbellsville; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral was Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Carlis Compton officiated.
Burial was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
