Ruth W. McMahan, 72, of Campbellsville, died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Ralph G. Wilson and Edna M. Williams Wilson, she was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Green County, Ky.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She married Thomas R. McMahan on July 8, 1962. He survives.
Survivors also include a son, Ron McMahan and his wife, Cathy, of Campbellsville; a daughter, Andrea Settle and her husband, Kent, of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Katelyn McMahan, Caroline McMahan, Zack Settle and Blake Settle, all of Campbellsville; two brothers, Ruel "Sonny" Wilson and his wife, Mary; and Roger Wilson and his wife, Judy, all of Campbellsville; three sisters, Marian Newton and her husband, Willard; and Gay Bright, all of Campbellsville, and Sheila Judd and her husband, Roger, of Summersville, Ky.; a sister-in-law, Ruby Wilson of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenny Wilson on Aug. 3, 2002, and J.W. Wilson in 1935.
Funeral was Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Ron Young officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Ray Altman, Dr. John Barton, Phil Bertram, Bill Collins, Terry Dabney, Larry Ennis, Hugh Howell, Mark Johnson, Ed Loy, Buddy Moore, Fern Settle, Willard Smith, Harold Wilkerson, Richard Williams, George Wise and Lowell Yankey.
Honorary pallbearers were Christian Friendship Sunday School Class members at First United Methodist Church.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Gideon Bibles or First United Methodist Church building fund and they can be left at the funeral home.
