Tommie Jess Barnett, 93, of Campbellsville, died at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late William Thomas Barnett and Lizzie Powell Barnett, he was born May 4, 1920, in Casey County, Ky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Barnett's Creek United Methodist Church.
He was a retired farmer and construction worker.
He married Nellie Mills in March 1943. She preceded him in death Aug. 24, 2011.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Cox and her husband, Tim, of Campbellsville and Tina Estes and her husband, Henry, of Greensburg, Ky.; a son, Tom Barnett and his wife, Diane, of Lexington, Ky.; a son-in-law, Kenneth Barnett of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Bonnie Barnett and Joan Fisher Ford; a brother, Delmer Barnett and his wife, Ethel; five sisters, Della Burton, Pearl Brogan, Nona Scott and her husband, Ray; Edna Patton and her husband, Robert; and Lorene Marshall; and a sister at a young age.
Funeral was Thursday, Feb. 13, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Dr. Paul W. Patton officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
