The Rev. William Earl Pike

The Rev. William Earl Pike, 83, of Campbellsville, died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, in Bardstown, Ky.
Son of the late Chilton Pike and Florence Sanders Pike, he was born July 12, 1929, in Taylor County.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Bardstown.
He was a lifetime farmer, a Baptist minister for more than 50 years and retired from Bloomfield Baptist Church.
He married Louise Phillips on Nov. 8, 1944. She preceded him in death Oct. 8, 1997.
He later married Wanda Brown Chesser on Dec. 12, 1998. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Gary Pike and his wife, Robin, of Springfield, Ky., and Bill Pike and his wife, Diane, of Bardstown; three stepchildren, Vic Chesser and his wife, Tami, of Louisville, Ky., Todd Chesser and his wife, Kathy, of Bethlehem, Ky., and Leah Chesser of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, the Rev. Harold Pike and his wife, Martha, of Covington, Ky.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Pike Money, on Sept. 28, 2009; and two sisters, Evelyn Biggs and Wilma Cooper.
Funeral was Wednesday, June 12, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. David Royalty, Harold Pike and Gary Chesser officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
