Cecil Sharpe, 81, of Campbellsville, died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in Campbellsville.

Son of the late June Sharpe and Lora Milby Sharpe, he was born May 29, 1932, in Green County, Ky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Robinson Creek Baptist Church and attended Salem Baptist Church.
He was a farmer and truck driver.
He married Helen Rainwater on May 26, 1951. She survives.
Besides his wife, Helen Sharpe of Campbellsville, he is also survived by a son, Gary Wayne Sharpe, and his wife, Sharon, of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Diane Hunt, and her husband, Stewart, of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Brian Sharpe and his wife, Tiffany, of Corbin, Ky.; Melissa Sharpe of Lexington, Jessica Squires and her husband, Billy, of Greensburg, Ky., and Jonathan Hunt and his wife, Allison, of Russellville, Ky.; two great-granddaughters, Katelynn Savannah Squires and Meghan Elizabeth Squires; a sister, Evelyn Fisher of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond Sharpe, Edward Sharpe, James Rollin Sharpe and Joseph Thomas Sharpe; and two sisters, Louise Atwell and Aileen Hayes.
Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Michael Goodwin and Earl West officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
