Christine Meader, 93, of Campbellsville, died at 8:55 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late E. L. Daugherty and Mary Etwol Lemmon Daugherty, she was born in Casey County, Ky., on Feb. 12, 1919.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She was married to W.I. Meader on April 15, 1947. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Edith Bland of Campbellsville; three grandchildren, David Bland of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Christy Shuffett and her husband, Scott, of Georgetown, Ky., and Laura Jo Minor and her husband, Michael, of Coppell, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Katie Grace Shuffett of Georgetown; a brother, Bert Daugherty and his wife, Sylvia, of Lewisville, N.C.; several other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, W.I. "Bill" Meader on Nov. 25, 1967; and a brother, James H. Daugherty on June 6, 2010.
Funeral was Monday, July 2, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Ron Young officiated. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
