Dixie Mae Short, 92, of Campbellsville, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Caverna, Ky.

Daughter of the late John Denton and Mary Bishop Denton, she was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Hart County, Ky.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She married Turner Earl Short on Nov. 8, 1941. He preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1971.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Rogers of Campbellsville; a son-in-law, Lou Bingham of Elizabethtown, Ky.; four grandchildren, Eric Phillips and his wife, Lorie, of Campbellsville, Camille Turner and her husband, Tommy, of Magnolia, Ky., Robin Hunt and her husband, Dale, of Elizabethtown and Amy Medley and her husband, Jeff, of Louisville, Ky.; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca Short Bingham; three brothers, Sam Denton, Tom Denton and Bud Denton; and a sister, Dorothy Edwards.
Funeral was Sunday, July 27, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Paul J. Dicken officiated.
Burial was in Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church Cemetery.
