Donald G. Henderson, 79, of Campbellsville, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Richard T. Henderson and Delia Hortense Wilcox Henderson, he was born May 14, 1934, in Taylor County.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a retired farmer.
He was married to Abby Hall. She preceded him in death.
He later married Alberta "Bert" Phillips. She also preceded him in death.
He was later married to Helen Hunt Franklin on July 1, 2005. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Donald Henderson Jr. and his wife, Dinah, of Florida and Lee Hall Henderson of Virginia; two stepchildren, Russell Franklin and his wife, Katrina, of Indiana and Kim Penick and her husband, Kent, of Campbellsville; three grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Jean Alvey of Campbellsville, Shirley Ann Torjusen and her husband, Harry, of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Delia Pauline Durrett and her husband, Calvin, of Summersville, Ky., and Sharon Kaye Tyra and her husband, Ernie, of Walkertown, N.C.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a stepson, William Leslie Franklin in infancy; and a brother, James Robert Henderson.
Funeral was Wednesday, June 26, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. John Chowning and Ron Ferree officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors by Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
