Dorothy Ann Wayne, 92, of Fairfield, Calif., formerly of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at her California home with her daughter by her side.

She received her bachelor of arts in education from Western Kentucky University and her master of arts from University of Houston.
Her teaching career spanned more than 40 years from a one-room school in Kentucky to Golden West at Travis Air Force Base in California. Wherever her husband's military career took her, she taught.
Her retirement years were filled with gardening, cooking, sewing and doll making. She was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church, Eastern Star and Gideons International.
She was married to her loving husband, Allen Taylor Wayne, for 67 years. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Young; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Hollyenda Wayne and Anna Sue Asby.

Funeral was Monday, March 25, at Fairfield Funeral Home, 1750 Pennsylvania Ave., Fairfield.
Internment was private at Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon, Ky.
