Glen Newton, 78, of Campbellsville, died at 9:28 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in Campbellsville.

Son of the late Malcom Newton and Elizabeth Agee Newton, he was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Taylor County, Ky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
He was retired from Houchens Grocery, a farmer, a country vet and a self-employed HVAC technician.
He married Alma Wise on Nov. 18, 1953. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Allen Newton, and his wife, Janice, and Donnie Newton and his wife, Alisha, all of Campbellsville; a daughter, Pam Newton of Campbellsville; nine grandchildren, Lucas Newton and his wife, Leticia, Jacob Newton and his wife, Cheryl, Clint Newton, Hallie Newton, Tyler Akins and his wife, Cheryl, Sarah Harmon, Angela Dunn and her husband, Joseph, Malcom Newton and Michael Cooper; eight great-grandchildren, Matthew Newton, Autumn Newton, Gabriel Newton, Raymond Salinas, Leticia Salinas, Josie Dunn, Zach Robertson and Jasmin Robertson; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Orville and Rena Newton, Shorty and Delores Newton, Robbie and Diane Newton and Danny and Faye Newton; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Glen Newton; and a sister, Martha Nell Benningfield.
Funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Carlis Compton and Danny Nelson officiated.
Burial was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
