Hallie Childers, 90, of Campbellsville, died at 2:17 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012.
Daughter of the late Welby Herron and Della McDonald Herron, she was born in Taylor County on Jan. 15, 1922.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She married Eddie B. Childers on Feb. 14, 1942. He preceded her in death Oct. 31, 2011.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Childers of Campbellsville; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Childers of Campbellsville; a grandson, Darren Childers and his special friend, Chandra Vitale, of Atlanta; two half-brothers, Tommy Herron and Robert Herron of Dayton, Ohio; a special friend, Betty Holt of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Chuck Childers, on May 17, 2002; and six sisters and two brothers, Rose Johnson, Mazie Bernice Mikel, Drucille Flowers, Melisa Rayner, Villa Marie Herron, Lyndell Hunt, James Jr. Herron and Hubert Murrell Herron.
Funeral was Wednesday, June 27, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Cameron Rash, Larry Loy and Ron Young officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
