Helen Hortense McMahan, 93, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Grandview Nursing and Rehab.

She was the daughter of the late Talmage Sherrill and Richard Mitchell.
She was married to Lester McMahan. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of Campbellsville First United Methodist Church. She and her late husband were owners of Cherry Furniture Display. She was a kind and loving woman and friend to many.
Survivors include a sister, Louella Ronald Chaney of Greensburg, Ky.; a brother-in-law, Richard McMahan of Campbellsville; two nieces, Patricia R. Davenport of Louisville, Ky., and Jeannie Ronald Squires of Greensburg; a nephew, Mike Mitchell of Flatwood, Ky.; special friends Bob and Pam Wilson; and a host of family and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry McMahan; a brother, Shively R. Mitchell; and a sister, Georgia M. Paxton.
Funeral was Monday, Dec. 9, at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Ed Loy and Deb Straley officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Bob McMahan, Mitchell Squires, Rich Vonnshane, Jamie McCubbins, Thomas R. McMahan, Mike Mitchell and Bobby McMahan.
