James 'Jimmy' Maurice Thomas Jr., 69, of Raywick, Ky., died Sunday, July 8, 2012, at University of Louisville Hospital.
Son of the late James Maurice Thomas Sr. and Mary Evelyn Allen Thomas, he was born Nov. 13, 1942, in Marion County, Ky.
He formerly operated Thomas Trucking Co. in Louisville, Ky., T.J.'s Lounge in Saint Mary's, Ky., and Fifth Wheel Lounge in Raywick.
He was married to Theresa Downs Thomas. She survives.
Survivors also include two sons, Marcy and Susan Marlow Thomas of Bardstown, Ky., and Stuart and Lori Thomas of Cox's Creek, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Robyn Thomas, Amanda Cox and her husband, Daniel; Francy Nally, and her husband, Derek; Michael Thomas, Thomas Thomas, Katie Thomas, Christopher Thomas and Ashley Auberry; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, David Thomas of Lebanon, Ky.; two sisters, Phyllis Troutman of Raywick and Mary Kay Bland, and her husband, Perry, of Lebanon.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Thomas; and an infant son, Anthony Thomas.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, July 12, at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Raywick. The Rev. James W. Graf will officiate.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A prayer service was Wednesday, July 11, at Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto, Ky. The Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant officiated.
Grandchildren and their spouses served as pallbearers.
