Kile Burton, 92, of the Purdy community in Columbia, Ky., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at his home.

Son of the late Lucian and Belle Redmon Burton, he was born Nov. 13, 1920, in Adair County, Ky.
He was a farmer and professed faith in Christ at home.
Survivors include six daughters, Evelyn (Elba) Neat of Elk Horn, Ky., Loretta Moss, Suzanne (David) Mejean and Anita (Barney) Goff, all of Campbellsville, Marilyn (Don) Rodgers of Liberty, Ky. and Jeanie (David) Mann of Albany, Ky.; four sons, Charles Burton and Dwight (Mary) Burton of Columbia, and Bradley Joe (Betty) Burton and Roger Burton of Campbellsville; a sister, Alta Cook of Columbia; a brother, Gilbert Burton of Columbia; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five brothers, Finis, Ernest, Forest, Jake and Leonard Burton; and a sister, Ruthie Knight.
Funeral was Monday, Feb. 18, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia. Bro. Ralph Foster and the Rev. David Wray officiated.
Internment was in Bearwallow Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Buddy Burton, Jeremy Thewlis, Kevin Mejean, Michael Burton, Dustin Thompson and Wade Burton.
