Lafe Cave, 93, of Campbellsville, died at 9:25 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2012, in Campbellsville.

Son of the late R. D. Cave and Lula Roy Cave, he was born in Taylor County on Jan. 16, 1919.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.
He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II. He was awarded the American Theater Asiatic Ribbon, Pacific Theater with one Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal.
He was a lifelong farmer.
He was married to Opal Hubbard on May 2, 1942. She preceded him in death Sept. 23, 2010.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter, Tommy Cave and his wife, Renee; Jimmy Cave and his wife, Diane; and Wanda Brockman and her husband, Donald, all of Campbellsville; five grandchildren, Donna Lynn Brockman and her husband, Stephen Lanham, of Richmond, Ky.; Deanna Jo Brockman and her husband, Chris Soulis; John T. Cave and his fiancŽe, Tina Cox, all of Campbellsville; Allyson S. Cave and her husband, Brian Kester, of Tulsa, Okla.; and Kelly D. Wright and her husband, Michael, of Lebanon, Ky.; two great-grandsons, Kaden James Cave of Lebanon and Dakota Matthew Kester of Tulsa; two sisters, Bettie Moore of Lexington, Ky., and Myrtie Kearney of Mt. Washington, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Robert Cave, Omer Cave, Dollie Roots and Mary Peterson, and three siblings in infancy.
Funeral was Wednesday, July 11, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Revs. Richard Lowe and Rev. Mikie Ash officiated.
Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
