Mark Cissell, 60, of South Louisville, Ky., died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the Hosparus Unit of Norton Pavilion in Louisville.

Son of the Ann Cissell and the late William Charles Cissell, he was born on June 10, 1952, in Nelson County, Ky.
He was a retired plant manager for Gohmann Asphalt Co., where he worked for 24 years, a member of the Beechmont Neighborhood Association and American Quarter Horse Association, an avid horse lover and all-around animal lover and a University of Kentucky fan.
He was married to Debbie Chick for 40 years. She survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Kimberly L. Cissell; three sisters, Janet Murley and her husband, Ronnie, Pam Wethington and her husband, Stanley and Tish Stubbs and her husband, Larry; two brothers, Timmy Cissell and his wife, Sandra, and Todd Cissell and his wife, Libby; a brother-in-law, Greg Chick and his wife, Madonna; several nieces and nephews and his extended family.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Kevin Cissell.
A celebration of life service was Saturday, Nov. 3, at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home in Louisville.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
