The Rev. Marshall Sloan Sr., 60, of Campbellsville, died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, in Louisville, Ky.

Son of the late Wallace Harvey Sloan and Linnia Myrtle Neal Sloan, he was born Feb. 23, 1953, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Green County, Ky., where he was a former pastor.
He married Leta Harris on Oct. 4, 1974. She survives.
Besides his wife, Leta Sloan, survivors include two sons, Marshall Sloan Jr. and his wife, Angela, of Auburn, Ky., and Eric Sloan of Port Charlotte, Ky., and his ex-wife, Amanda Moore of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, Blake Camp, Josh Camp, Ashley Sloan, Andrew Sloan, Matthew Sloan and Kaitlin Sloan; a sister, Rita Sparks and her husband, Clarence, of Dayton, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Sloan.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 20, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. John Chowning will officiate.
Burial will be in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Family requests expressions of sympathy be donations to Gideon Bibles and they can be made at the funeral home.
