Robert Jackson "Jack" Perkins, 95, of Campbellsville, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville. Son of the late Fred and Florence Walls Perkins, he was born on April 11, 1917, in Green County, Ky. Perkins had made a profession of faith and was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God. He was a lifelong farmer of the Whitewood Community and took great pride in caring for his land. He was married to Eliza Boone Penick Perkins. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Jack Allen Perkins and his wife, Irene, and David Joe Perkins, all of Campbellsville, and Ronnie Perkins of Willis, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Lotz of Virginia and Frances Riggs of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren, Brian Allen Perkins and his wife, Elizabeth, of North Carolina; Dana Lee and her husband, Allen, of Texas; Kevin Hughes and Shondah Kubajak of Campbellsville; Steven Perkins and his wife, Sabrina, of Utah; and Cassie Jo Perkins of Louisville; seven great-grandchildren, Scott LaRoe and his wife, Lindsey; Amy Hopson and her husband, Bradley Chase; Alana Lee, Brandon Perkins, Tanner Perkins, Jadon Bradshaw and Majestee Hughes; a great-great-grandchild, Gemma LaRoe and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Earl Perkins; two sisters, Tina Jones and Lillian Shaw; and a grandson, Timothy Perkins. Funeral was Thursday, July 5, at Campbellsville First Church of God. Bros. Evan Tedder and Colin McDaniel officiated. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg, Ky., was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Bill Netherland, Bobby Wood, Guy Wood, Sammy Bryant, William "Ham" Johnson, Danny Simpson, Jimmy Wheeler and Morris Goff. Honorary pallbearers were Morris Horn, Billy B Smith, Lonnie Davis, Johny Davis, Lynn Taylor Blakman and George Henry Dearen. Memorials are suggested to the Gideon's Bible Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
