William Frederick Hoy, 76, of Campbellsville, died at 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2013, in Campbellsville.

Son of the late William Hoy and Ruby O'Banion Hoy, he was born on March 9, 1936, in Utica, Ohio.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.
He served his country honorably in the United States Navy for about 21 years and was a Vietnam War veteran.
He retired from Ingersoll-Rand Co. after 17 years and then helped Roberts Landscaping for eight years.
He married Marcella White on June 20, 1956. She survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Sheila Coomes and her husband, Ron, of Daphne, Ala.; two sons, Joe Hoy and his wife, Wanda Sue, of Berea, Ky., and Gary Hoy and his wife, Shannon, of Sharpsburg, Ga.; seven grandchildren, William Thomas Hoy, Jennifer Leigh-anne Hoy, Joseph Michael Hoy, Phillip Hunter Coomes, Morgan Ashley Coomes, Olivia Caitlin Hoy and Rachel Alexandria Hoy; two sisters, Ila Berry and her husband, John, of Sunbury, Ohio, and Annie Hoy of Newark, Ohio; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother in infancy.
Funeral was Thursday, March 7, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Minister Joe Hatchett officiated.
Burial was in Brookside Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
