Gladys Collett, 79, of Campbellsville, died at 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Clayton Thompson and Mossie Cupp Thompson, she was born March 1, 1935, in Bell County, Ky.
She professed faith in Christ and was of the Holiness Faith.
She married Boyd Collett on Aug. 31, 1964. He survives.
Survivors also include a daughter, Sharon Perkins and her husband, Billy, of Campbellsville; two grandsons, Greg Buckles and his wife, Shannon, of Greensburg, Ky., and John Perkins and his wife, Jenna, of Campbellsville; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Cecil Thompson, Larry Thompson, Jerry Thompson, Chester Thompson, Clarence Thompson and Clayton Thompson Jr., all of Tennessee, and Cleston Thompson of Indiana; three sisters, Faye VanOsdol of Tennessee, Geraldine Elam and Jeanette Miracle of Indiana; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Thompson.
Funeral was Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. The Rev. Ben Spencer officiated.
Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
