Jewell Dean Hash Chastain, 76, of Campbellsville, died at 2:55 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, in Campbellsville.
Daughter of the late Bud Hash and Ollie Mae Sutherland Hash, she was born June 30, 1938, in Taylor County.
She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and Gatti's Restaurant.
She married Carlos Chastain on June 26, 1953. He preceded her in death Jan. 13, 2007.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Kenny Bennett and Melinda and Terry Cox of Campbellsville and Terry and Robert McBride of Henry, Ill.; five grandchildren, Kris Bennett and his wife, Julie, of Spring Hill, Tenn., Heather Orne of Franklin, Tenn., Stephanie Scalos of Dunedin, Fla., Katie Elzy and her husband, Jason, of Woodland Hills, Calif., and Bobby McBride of Henry; four great-grandchildren, Carly Orne, Audrey Orne, Tatum Bennett and Jackson Elzy; two brothers, Earl Hash of Campbellsville and Buddy Hash of Lakeland, Fla.; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Gene Allen Hash, James E. Hash and Gilbert Veachel Hash; and a sister, Christine Puryear.
Funeral was Sunday, Aug. 17, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Minister Fella Wilson officiated.
Entombment was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
