Bobby Shofner, 65, of Campbellsville, died at 12:07 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, in Campbellsville.
Son of the late Oscar W. Shofner and Alma Sidebottom Shofner, he was born Jan. 12, 1949, in Taylor County.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee of Taylor County Bank after 25 years of service.
His love for horses began as a child and his favorite pastime was trail riding.
He married Linda Shipp on Dec. 20, 1968.
Besides his wife, Linda Shofner of Campbellsville, survivors include a brother, Larry Shofner and his wife, Glenna, of Campbellsville; a sister, Aletta Johns of Campbellsville; two nieces, Brandi Graham and her husband, Jody, and Samantha Shipp, all of Campbellsville; and four nephews, Scott Shipp and his wife, Andrea, of Campbellsville, Adam Johns and Eric Johns of Lexington, Ky. and Adam Shipp of Elizabethtown, Ky.; three great-nieces, Dayne Graham, Addison Shipp and Skyler Shipp; four great-nephews, Sully Graham, Mason Shipp, Kade Shipp and Cameron Shipp; and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Sullivan on July 24, 2013, and a nephew, Ryan Shipp on June 12, 2008.
Funeral was Friday, August 22, 2014 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bro. Jamie Bennett and Bro. Jody Graham officiated.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Family requests expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to Gideon bibles or Hospice of Central Kentucky and they can be made at the funeral home.
