James Cochran, 67, of Elk Horn, Ky., died at 4:51 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Louisville, Ky.

Son of the late Sammie Cochran and Nettie Hughes Cochran, he was born on March 9, 1945, in Casey County, Ky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.
He was a former employee of Dan White Oil Co., a former deputy sheriff, Taylor County magistrate and a school bus driver for the Taylor County school system for many years.
He married Galoris Ford on Sept. 4, 1965. She survives.
Survivors also include two daughters, Tina Blakley and her husband, Russell, of Somerset, Ky., and Nadena Agee and her husband, David, of Campbellsville; a son, Scot Cochran and his wife, Beth; eight grandchildren, Alex Sexton and her husband, Jamie, Samantha Benedict and her husband, Jeff, Whitney Roots, J.T. Agee, Spencer Agee, Mariah Agee, Tori Cochran and Emili Cochran; three great-grandchildren, Zach Benedict, Peyton Benedict and Zander Sexton; two brothers, Gary Cochran and his wife, Nellie, of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Cecil Cochran of Franklin, Ind.; three sisters, Marie Forister of Crittenden, Ky., Barbara Roundtree of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jo Ann Wethington and her husband, Carl, of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Jimmy Cochran, T.C. Cochran, Estil Cochran and Wesley Cochran; and two sisters, Lorene Webb and Delores Angel.
Funeral was Monday, March 11, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bros. Brian Rafferty, Haywood Riner and Chris Murphy officiated.
Burial was in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
