Elva Hunt, 101, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of the Mt. Gilboa community in Taylor County, died at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Lexington.

Daughter of the late Bennie Wilton Hunt and Josie Ella Hunt, she was born Jan. 11, 1912, in Taylor County.
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.
She married Oliver Hunt on Sept. 19, 1931. He preceded her in death May 5, 1980.
Survivors include a son, Darrell Hunt and his wife, Nancy, of Campbellsville; a daughter, Mildred Wise and her husband, Carl, of Lexington; five granddaughters, Donna Faulkner and her husband, Scott, and Cindy Hunt, all of Campbellsville, Jan Dowd and her husband, Ray, and Carla Masharbash and her husband, Issa, all of Lexington, and Allison Hunt of Riverside, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Hunt and Ervin Hunt; and two sisters, Leona Sullivan and Lizzie Sullivan.
Funeral was Thursday, June 20, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral in Campbellsville. The Rev. J.T. Rafferty officiated.
Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.
